Silver Comet Trail
About the Trail
The Silver Comet Trail is a paved abandoned railroad bed that brings together cyclists, nature lovers, physical fitness enthusiasts, and horseback riders to enjoy the beautiful north Georgia countryside.

Silver Comet Trail runs for about 20 miles through Paulding County. The Hiram Trailhead section crosses Seaboard Avenue less than a mile from Highway 278.

Hiram Trailhead
The Trailhead is at mile marker 14.7 on the Silver Comet Trail and provides convenient parking. Homer Leggett Park is next to the trailhead and has nice restrooms, water fountains, covered picnic tables, and a playground. Bike rentals are also available. An original train caboose is located in the trailhead parking lot and serves as a Sheriff station for the deputies that patrol the trail.

The Trailhead is located in the heart of the City of Hiram and conveniently near hotels, gas stations, grocery stores, restaurants, and banks.
